2021 Thermaltake Ultra GIF Design Invitational Season 1, is an event where we invite 6 modders from 6 different regions to battle it out and create their very best gif themes for our new line of Ultra series products.
Over the course of 2 months they will be designing their very own animated shows on the Floe RC Ultra 240 CPU & Memory AIO Liquid Cooler. The cooler cannot be installed into a case and can only be secured to a motherboard or stand, modders are allowed to create a display stand to better display the cooler, more than that may result in point deduction. At the end, each modder will need to upload up to 5 GIF animations with a minimum of 3 GIF setups on the final video. The modders uploaded gifs cannot breach any copyright and must be made from scratch, other unauthorized content may result in deduction of points or even disqualification. All progress must be documented on the event microsite, at least once a week. The final videos must include their top 3 GIF animation profiles, also progression video shots will add bonus points.
The new version of Thermaltake’s TT RGB PLUS patented software, providing more lighting effects and PC monitoring functions.
Cautions:
- TT RGB PLUS and TT RGB PLUS will overwrite one another; users can only install one version of TT RGB PLUS 1.0 or 2.0.
- This product only supports TT RGB Plus 2.0.

Meaning that everyone from Thermaltake HQ excluding the event planning team, will be given one vote for their favorite build.
Thermaltake CEO Kenny Lin will be scoring the modders according to his personal preference and his judging system, total score will be 10% given by him.
At Thermaltake we value our customers, so this time we have decided to hold a community voting event allowing the fans to have a say in who wins!
We will be choosing a few professional and renowned modders to help judge the outcome of this event.
Over the course of 2 months, 6 modders from 6 regions will be competing for a total prize pool of $5000 USD They will be creating new and exciting GIFs for our Floe RC Ultra AIO cooler!
We will be marking on the below points!
Originality: We will mark on the originality of the GIF file, it can be any theme but cannot be copyright. Originality will play a big role in this event, so your own designs or drawings could better your score.
Utilization:Points will be given to the contestants that adapt the most features combining the best gif designs and effects, each screen animation should be set in the same theme, and talks to each other, or connects with each screen, like a call and response etc.
Artistry: Visual effect is another point to be graded on - the flow of the entire GIF animation: the artistry of the entire project - the coherency of the GIF animation: meaning good combinations
Video Quality: Video Quality and video content will be marked too. The video should have a theme and should easily understood to the person watching it. GIF animation and the way its presented would be marked.
